  • Africa is famous for the big five and there is no better country to spot all of the animals than Kenya. You board your plane to Nairobi and you are a greeted by a lovely Kenyan flight attendant. During the flight, her hospitality amazes you. Once you arrive in the capital, you get in a tour bus and you drive towards the first national reserve. The 5-hour dive is not that special, because it's dark outside you can't see a thing. But the driver of the tour bus knows how to entertain you and the other passengers with his humoristic jokes. One you arrive at the hotel near the national reserve you check in and go to sleep. The next morning you get on a safari tour with a local. He knows a lot about the animals and tells many stories and facts. He really knows how to provide the best experience and goes the extra mile. During lunchbreak, you get to talk with the tour guide one on one. When you ask what life is like he comes with a surprising answer: "Life in the Kenyan countryside is hard. I am lucky I have a good job and therefore I am wealthy, but many others are not. They don't have clean drinking water and get sick often. The children can't even go to school, because they have to get the water for the family". That broke your heart. During the trip, the Kenyans were so kind that they really made the trip unforgettable. They all deserve to live a good life, without having to worry about water!
